SANDRA MORALES

Born in Puerto de la Cruz in 1981, she studied piano at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Tenerife, where she earned her advanced degree in piano. Much of her life has been dedicated to choral singing—either as a chorister in the Coral Reyes Bartlet of Puerto de la Cruz or as a choir director, notably leading the David Goldsmith Youth Choir from 2002 to 2009. She has also collaborated with various musical groups in different genres, including Amazig, 101 Brass Band, Parranda de Cantadores, and the Camerata Lacunensis choir. A highly versatile singer, she has performed a wide range of styles through various projects and bands, from soul, pop, and rock to jazz, bossa nova, and boleros.
She recorded an album in Miami, USA—where she lived for several years—titled Alas de Papel, featuring songs written by Canarian composers and artists.
She currently combines her work as a music teacher, choir director, and singer. She is the lead vocalist of a project called Insomnia, featuring original music composed by pianist Ismael Perera.
She is also a member of AGORA, which recently premiered its second show, Lunación, and she is the singer of Boleros a 3, an intimate trio featuring guitar, percussion, and voice, paying tribute to the bolero genre through a journey across various Latin American countries.
