BEATRIZ ALONSO y JAVIER CERPA

Beatriz Alonso combines her work as a vocal coach with her performances on stage. She has taken part in projects with Los Gofiones, José Antonio Ramos, the Gran Canaria Big Band, Mestisay, and many other artists. She was the lead in the musical “Longina, Emigrante en La Habana.”
Javier Cerpa is a guitarist and composer who currently works as the head of studies at the Municipal School of Music in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and is a regular collaborator of Domingo Rodríguez “El Colorao.”
Javier Cerpa and Beatriz Alonso began working together as a duo in 1998, performing several concerts across various venues in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with a repertoire of modern-style covers and original compositions. That same year, they recorded their first album at Luna Studios in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, together with the poet from Fuerteventura Marcos Hormiga, titled “Desoledumbres.”
In 2002, they recorded their second album at Azel Studios in Tenerife, titled “El signo de Eva,” featuring texts by Canarian writer Alexis Ravelo and the aforementioned Marcos Hormiga.
In addition to starring in Longina, Beatriz Alonso has participated in productions such as “Zalacadula,” “timples@2000,” “Tiempo de Gran Canaria,” “Cantando a todo tren,” and the Gran Canaria Big Band, among others.
